The Manager, Marketing Operations-Americas plays a key role in driving operational excellence within marketing and creative teams, optimizing processes and bringing efficiencies that are strategic, data driven and cross-collaborative. This role will focus specifically on managing operating expenses across the Americas Corporate Marketing organization and will report to the Director of Operations, Americas Marketing.
What this job involves
Operational efficiencies
• Maintain a holistic view and understanding of the Americas Marketing organization, including the individual priorities, programs and players involved.
• Analyze data and current marketing and creative processes to develop insights and identify areas for operational improvements.
• Make/implement recommendations to address operational improvements.
• Collaborate with regional Marketing Operations teams and other central functions to identify opportunities for efficiencies and partnership that can impact broader strategic initiatives.
Analysis and financial planning
• Assist with planning/budget cycle and managing operating expenses across the Americas Marketing organization.
• Identify new or changed business requirements and advise on how they impact the budget.
• Partner with Finance to create reports that provide real-time updates on program budgets/spend, bringing cross-functional and top-down visibility into all programs and budgets.
• With Finance and Procurement, develop central PO and invoice management processes and governance for marketing.
• Collaborate with management in identifying budgetary issues, researching spend activity, anticipating impacts and resolving issues in line with marketing goals, objectives, and operations.
• Perform financial forecasting and projections to assist marketing functions and management in decision making, planning, and staffing.
• Provide coaching to teammates in operational procedures and transaction accuracy to help them comply with company standards.
• Work with HR to create dashboards and templates for consistent data reporting that cascades in all of Americas Marketing to support workflow and staffing decisions.
• Continually look for opportunities to improve data integrity, quality and use.
Procurement/vendor management
• In partnership with Procurement and Finance, manage vendor onboarding, purchasing, contract execution, accruals, amortizations, and invoicing for program and budget owners.
• In partnership with Procurement, develop governance and policies for marketing vendor engagement.
• Ensure contracts are shared with the necessary internal partners, such as Legal and Procurement.

• BA/BS degree
• 3 – 5 years relevant experience, with marketing, operations, data analytics or commercial real estate experience preferred
• Ability to take initiative, work flexibly, and collaborate with cross-functional partners
• Experience working with data analysis, process documentation, purchase agreements, statements of work and master service agreements
• Team player with ability to see the big picture and prioritize requests, ensuring quality without compromising goals
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail and accuracy
• Detailed, organized, and results oriented
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
• Ability to collaborate across time zones for global needs
• Proven research, analytical and data visualization skills with the ability to interpret results and formulate solutions
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Experience with the following (or comparable) tools: PeopleSoft Finance, Allocadia, Tableau
• Ability to present data to leadership (C-level)
• Project management skills/background a plus. Ability to plan and execute projects of varying timeframes and scope with minimal guidance
• Can resolve problems independently, strategically pulling in others as needed
• Prior knowledge of commercial real estate a plus
• Prior experience with marketing/creative firms a plus
