Responsible for developing, leading, and executing commodity sourcing strategies for local, regional, and national initiatives for both facility and project services.
Interface with the client and the account team to understand and clarify service delivery requirements, including contractual service levels, insurance requirements, response times and technical qualifications of key suppliers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Act as subject matter expert representing Sourcing, ensuring contracts and procurement standards are maintained throughout the portfolio
• Closely participate in and with the Client and Jones Lang LaSalle Sourcing and Facility Management teams to drive both immediate and sustained benefits to the Client
• Develop annual sourcing initiatives that provide detailed service commodity strategies, identifying objectives, leveraged spend (in association with client sourcing and Jones Lang LaSalle commodity strategies), and milestone timelines
• Responsible for communication, coordination, and implementation of local and regional sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations to suppliers and operations team
• Lead the strategy development, contract negotiation, and contract execution process for complex service contracts as well as drive efficiency through continuous process improvement and creative cost savings initiatives
• Leverage expertise in developing contract language and negotiating with Suppliers on contract terms & conditions
• Manage complex databases, performs advanced analytics, and model potential outcomes in order to develop professional solutions and recommendations
• Support the Mergers & Acquisitions team with complex contract transfers adopted through M&A activity
• Be proactive and manage internal and external customer expectations
• Be proactive and seek continuous process improvement
• Establish relationship with Corporate Legal and Risk Management to ensure all contractual terms and conditions comply with standard or other contract changes are formally reviewed and approved by legal/risk management
• Develop, implement and maintain a supplier diversity program in accordance with client and company requirements. Mentor/educate suppliers through meetings
• Conduct Supplier Performance Review meetings and manage supplier scorecards, contract compliance and service obligations
• Support e-commerce procurement initiatives
• Analyze supplier proposals, financial reports and other data to determine the reasonability of price and supplier’s capabilities
• Administer and maintain contract files to ensure compliance with Jones Lang LaSalle and client requirements by managing supplier files, certificates of insurance, amendments, letters and other contractual documents
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Purchasing & Supply Chain Management and 5+ years of strategic sourcing experience
• MBA, preferred
• Experience supporting facilities services outsourcing, including critical environments and data centers, through procurement of goods and services
• Experience preparing and managing the RFP Process and experience negotiating contracts with suppliers, for both goods and services
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Excellent Inter-personal skills, organization skills, strong analytical ability, proven ability to lead teams in a decentralized environment
• Hands-on role requiring willingness and ability to be both the strategist and tactician
• Expertise in Strategic Sourcing with demonstrated ability to manage change
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Proven ability to deliver results, including cost savings, while maintaining contractual service levels
• Excellent PC skills, proficient in MS applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
