Job Description:
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Reservations Agent insures that the Reservations Department is promoting quality and service to the guest as well as efficiency and professionalism.
CORE COMPETENCIES:Leadership, Decision Making, Work Methods, Customer Service/Relations, Teamwork, Innovation
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
v High school graduate or equivalent.
v Previous reservations and PBX experience
v Knowledge of basic computer programs.
v Excellent written and verbal skills.
v Minimum typing skills of 30 words per minute.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist guests with any property related questions.
2. Upsell the property to future and past guests by making reservations.
3. Handle all guests’ special requests in a professional manner.
4. Data entry of reservations. Enter, change and cancel reservations received from hotel partners.
5. Audit hotel reservations booked for accuracy.
6. Make certain that all daily functions are executed.
7. Assist Sales Team with their group blocking and rooming lists.
8. Complete all necessary projects by the assigned times. Complete documents as directed and to specifications.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Become familiar with Group Rooms functions so questions can be answered when Group Rooms Coordinator or Manager is not present.
