The Sr. Data Analyst is responsbile for implementing the new Analytical Infastructure in AWS (Amazon Web Services) to support CMA Business Intellligence, Analytics, and Strategy Development. This involves the migration of Teradata tables to AWS Snowflake, migration of DFS Tableau Dashboards to AWS Tableau, and DFS SASGRID to AWS SAS. The new Database, Tableau Servers, and SAS Analytical environment will allow data to be collected, controled, automated, and transformed to enable Business Intelligence. That will allow Strategy Development, Predictive Analytics, and Operation Efficiencies to leverage data for Collection/Recovery “Effectiveness”. The Sr. Data Analyst position will be resonsible for Project Management of all BI Initiatives and Direct Management of Technical staff for AWS Database development, AWS Sand boxes, and AWS Analytical tools (SAS, Tableau, R, Python).
Responsible for gathering, structuring, and analyzing data and providing recommendations to management. Supports the development of standard data analyses, reports, and dashboards.
Responsibilities
• Gathers, structures, and analyzes data from multiple data sources.
• Partners with the business to identify the appropriate data sources and analysis methodology to meet business needs.
• Presents the results of data analyses and recommendations to management and process owners.
• Develops comprehensive cost-benefit analyses to capture financial and other impacts of initiatives.
• Supports the development of standard data analyses, reports, and dashboards.
• Migration of Legacy Teradata tables to AWS Snowflake.
• Migration of NRC SQL Server Reporting to AWS SQL Server
• Migration of Open File and Recovery BI Dashboards to AWS Tableau.
• Migration of Teradata/Hadoop Sanboxes to AWS Snowflake Business Sandbox.
• Migration of DFS SASGRID (CSE and CMA) to AWS SAS.
• Migration of DFTP file transfers (Inbound and Outbound) to AWS Sandbox.
• Automate NRC manual Data Management routines using AWS resources
• Create new AWS Datamarts (Cubes) at the Aggregate levels for Tableau Dashboards.
• Migration of Access Database and Cold Fusion Applications to AWS.
Skills:
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Business or related firlds
• 2+ years of experience in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Business
• 1 + year experience with AWS or other related cloud technologies
Preferred Qualifications
If we had our say, we’d also look for:
• 4+ years experience in Teradata or equivalent DBMS.
• 4+ years UNIX Shell scripting.
• 2+ years using SAS
• 1+ years Tableau Dashboard reporting
• Knowledge and Experience in AWS
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and documentation
• Good communication skills
• Previous financial service industry experience
• Experience in Java Angular or Cold Fusion
