POSITION SUMMARY
The AVP Human Resources acts as a strategic business partner (HRBP) to drive the people strategy aligned with business objectives. He or she serves as a consultant to the leadership team on Human Resources related issues. Liaisons with core HR functions (Comp, Benefits, HRIS, Payroll, Recruiting), as voice of customer to drive People strategy. Delivers flawless execution of all HR Programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Defines and drives a people strategy to assists the leadership team to achieve their goals and objectives. Analyzes and assesses people needs of the organization and develops and implements strategies to meet those needs.
• Responsible for flawless execution of all HR initiatives including career development efforts, people planning, talent acquisition, performance management, and organizational design.
• Facilitates linkage between pay and performance.
• Coach and counsel the senior leadership team.
• Participates and drives functional on-boarding and leadership development.
• Identifies key training needs and develops plans and timelines for design and delivery.
• Drives business performance by utilizing knowledge of the business and the interrelationships to influence strategy and decision-making.
• Strategically drives and recommends HR process improvements.
• Ensures positive employee relations by proactive employee communication, prompt issue resolution and fair & equitable treatment.
• Leads, facilitates, and drives the change management process within the group.
• Identifies opportunities and recommends changes to increase performance, reduce cost, and positively impact metrics through analytical approaches, including the tracking of key data and analyzing trends.
• Utilizes knowledge of business trends to create and implement clear, relevant, and actionable plans. Tracks and develops plans to remove obstacles to success.
• Anticipates and overcomes barriers to delivering quality HR services.
• Leverages and educates others on available technology, shared services, HR services and procedures to meet customer needs.
• Lead a major HR project across all business units.
REQUIREMENTS
• 7-10 years HR Business Partner experience, multi-state, and or multi-function experience.
• Professional HR Certification (PHR/SPHR) preferred.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree required.
• Mortgage/Financial Industry experience preferred.
• Customer focused, coupling strategic focus with strong execution skills and a results orientation; able to link to business challenges and objectives with tactical execution and results
• Strong change management skills; experience with organization change implementations and associated deliverables.
• Ability to quickly learn a complex business and make connections and identify/implement successful organizational and talent strategies.
• Confidence, experience, presence, flexibility, strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively, coach, provide feedback, relate and clearly communicate to all levels within the organization, from first level managers to senior executives.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, complex and multi-faceted environment; self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Strong project planning, project management and project integration skills, with some vendor relationship management required.
• Peer leadership, influencing and coaching skills; a genuine team player with a collaborative style.
• Able to think strategically and make sound, data-based business decisions.
