Integrated Services for the Americas plays an integral role in MUFG Americas’ success and is comprised of the technology, operations and process excellence, information security, and project management functions for MUFG Americas. The group also includes support services such as risk management, planning and control, home office coordination, and employee engagement and communications.

On-the-Job Experience: Our 10-week Summer Analyst Program begins in early June and is designed to provide rising seniors with hands-on experience and business exposure to the world of technology in the finance and banking industry. While working with a mentor, you will be assigned projects designed to make material contributions to the success of the business at the same time broadening your technical skills. You will have the opportunity to see your project through to implementation and to analyze the results.
Our goal is to provide you with a professionally rewarding learning experience. Throughout the summer, you will have an opportunity to meet with senior management and broaden your understanding of the bank’s technology. The program also provides various social and networking events, and volunteering opportunities.
Training: In addition to in-depth training in your particular area, you will also have the opportunity to attend learning sessions led by ISA experts in the various disciplines at the bank throughout the 10 weeks.
Support & Guidance: Your assigned mentor/manager will provide goals and professional development guidance and conduct performance reviews as a commitment to our summer analysts. You will also have the opportunity to network with employees across different business groups and at all levels of the organization. At the end of the program, you will leave with a better understanding of the world of risk management.
Career Progression:At the end of the program, the opportunity exists to receive an offer for full time employment upon graduation.
The Summer Analyst will provide assistance to the Tax Operations department in support of the FATCA & Unclaimed Property Regulations. This person will work closely with the functional heads of various departments to support the front and middle offices and assist in documenting the Tax Form Validation Role within the client on-boarding process. They will support day to day function (s) alongside department staff. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about Tax regulations and develop an understanding of how the regulations have an impact on Operations, Technology, Middle Offices, and Front Offices. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Perform data analysis, track metrics, assist in building documented controls and present to Senior Management; identify opportunities for efficiencies based on metrics.
• Be responsible for building a strong and sustainable control environment as it relates to Withholding and Reporting processes.
• Other projects and initiatives as they arise to support Internal or IRS audits.
Qualifications
• Must be a first year graduate student or rising senior enrolled in an undergraduate college or university with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Business Analytics and Information Technology - other majors may be considered
• Ability to work equally well on self-managed or team-oriented projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to think “outside the box” with demonstrated strong analytics, analysis and research skills
• Excellent organization and time management with attention to detail
• Strong computer skills specifically with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Good understanding and fundamentals of Information Technology and/or Information Security
• Leadership role (club/sports/community service/Internships/tutoring)
• Basic understanding of financial services is a plus
