Provide functional support to the originations quality control process. Demonstrate a high-level of commitment to productivity, quality and teamwork within the unit/department.
Major Responsibilities:
Re-Verifications: Process audit re-verifications by creating letters to employers and/or financial institutions to verify the authenticity of borrower-provided documentation used in approving the mortgage request and/or by uploading data in vendor websites/portals to validate employment and financial information. Track re-verifications in QC audit database and provide returned re-verifications to auditors to review. Order field reviews, credit reports, and tax transcripts by use of vendor websites and track responses in database/software. Interact with Vendors and business partners through use of strong oral and written communication skills.
File Maintenance: Create QC audit files for each loan selected for audit; obtain standard documentation from FileNet/P8 and place in file; create Audit Re-Verification Checklist for each file; ensure Re-Verification letters are input correctly into database and that second requests are submitted after 21 days; ensure QC files are organized and filed properly and sent to Shared Services after three months for scanning into FileNet/P8. Maintain tracking log of selected audits on a monthly basis for Specialist loan assignment and re-verification/letter tracking.
Billing: Monitor monthly invoice statements for payment of vendor-related charges; submit billing for processing to Accounts Payable and/or review billing processed by Accounts Payable and submitted to QC for review and approval. Reconcile billing against actual charges incurred for accuracy, review WebAmmo for charges against QC cost center to reconcile payments and identify un-authorized charges, and maintain billing folder for each vendor.
Perform clerical and other duties as assigned: Provide backup for monthly QC-related reporting by converting data into tables, charts, graphs and creating Power Point presentations.
Qualifications
• Typically, minimum two years’ experience in a mortgage lending environment with a basic understanding and recognition of standard loan documentation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and balance day-to-day work direction from multiple Managers.
• Good computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point.
• Working knowledge of LoanSphere Empower, FileNet/P8 and/or ACES a plus.
