The Category Analytics Manager's role will focus on turning large volumes of data into simple business insights. This role will work closely with multiple stakeholders and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously. Experience in transactional and product data analytics along with strong pawn lending/retail business acumen is critical to a candidate's success in this role.
1. Responsible for product strategy and analytics of relevance, product line profitability
2. Provides analysis on earning assets (Inventory, Loan Portfolio); sales, margins, gross profit, turns, layaway performance, product stagnation/devaluation (aging), seasonality impact
3. Participates in the process of validating new technology on product valuation
4. Emerging product line evaluation
5. Instrumental in providing guidance on product pricing, validation/analysis of markdown cadence and optimizing performance of all categories
Critical and Essential Tasks
1. Works with stakeholders to develop strategy by providing analytics and insights
2. Collaborates closely with key stakeholders on our category strategy and execution across all phases to include planning, development, launch, management
3. Manages the future strategy for all product lines
4. Operationalizes and participates in developing financial targets to meet performance objectives
5. Identifies, supports and drives product cost management through detailed analytics
6. Interfaces with resources globally for synergies and best practices sharing/ benchmarking (processes, configuration and requirements management, tool integration, collaboration)
7. Provides updates to stakeholders on a regular basis in the organization demonstrating accountability for functional and business objectives.
8. Responsible for articulating scope required to impact category performance
9. Liaises and actively collaborates with stakeholders in order to help map requirements and corresponding business process changes.
10. Helps define such requirements leveraging modeling and mapping tools leading to process optimization and documentation suitable for input to application development processes.
11. Adheres to Project Management and customer policies, supporting their development through participation in related PMO cycles
