Operations Specialist
Opportunity Overview
As an Operations Specialist with Banner Bank you will provide exceptional customer service, perform function-specific, day-to-day operations tasks. You will support branches through review and documentation of multiple critical functions and provide staff with training and respond to inquiries on complex functions for procedures, compliance and unclaimed/abandoned property.
As an Operations Specialist with Banner Bank you will have the opportunity to:
• Provide support for specific retail and other operational areas, including Procedures and Communications
• Administer function-specific systems related to Dormant, Escheat, Wires and Cash Services
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and incorporate them with positive results
• Provide telephone and e-mail support to internal clients
• Responsible for participating in critical problem-solving issues and projects
• Comply with all policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certifications
• High School diploma or GED required
• Associate degree preferred
Experience
• 1 or more years of clerical, bank, and/or client service experience with retail banking or operations exposure (and/or demonstrated ability) required
• 3 or more years of experience preferred
• Experience in unclaimed/abandoned property preferred
Preferred Skills
• Excellent customer service, analytical, and problem solving skills. Proven organizational skills and attention to detail required
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring critical deadlines are met
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to positively influence others
• Work independently with little direct supervision while effectively managing time and resources
• Proficient in advanced aspects of Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
• Knowledge of federal and state laws/regulations relative to deposit accounts and bank operations
