This leadership position reports to the Director of Operations. The training manager will manage a team of trainers to provide initial and upskill training for work performed by the Individual Retirement processing teams. The Trainers work as a team to provide initial and ongoing training to the Individual Retirement processing teams via in-person, video conferencing and, at times, online training. A strong focus is on the various methods of adult learning to ensure that each person has the maximum opportunity to succeed. The overall goal of the team is to assure the highest quality for each client request while assisting in creating and supporting an effective environment of employee engagement and employee development. The Trainers provide feedback to both individual processors and managers related to individual absorption, personal interactions, and performance from the first day of training and continuing through the life of the training. Ongoing training for updates, upskill and cross training are given the same concentration as the initial training. The trainers also partner with various other teams including the quality assurance team, the client forms team, and project teams to ensure appropriate communication and partnership to achieve optimal client satisfaction as well as employee retention and engagement.

What we are looking for
• 3 years management experience in a financial or insurance industry.
• College degree preferred. College and experience may be accepted.
• Knowledge of Individual Retirement administration systems is desired.
• Experience developing and presenting training material is preferred.
• Must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills required.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills needed.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with proven ability to motivate staff and maintain a positive work environment.
• Proven record of providing direction, motivating, and growing employees to drive high levels of performance.
