Position Overview
Freddie Mac’s Single Family Division is currently seeking a Risk Analytics Manager to implements tools and methods of risk evaluation as a member of the Credit Analytics and Reporting team.
Your work falls into two primary categories:
Project Management:
•Manage CAR Big Data Projects – Manages the implementation of new data consumption capabilities to meet CAR business needs in conjunction with Business Owner, Governance, Operations, and IT teams.
•Manage data mart/data warehouse business projects and Big Data Projects
•Mentor and train staff in the Big Data Tools and Technologies
•Ensures requests for new modeling, analytic, dashboarding, and reporting capabilities are addressed in an efficient and effective manner.
•Lead the planning and implementation of cloud migrations and related projects for customers multiple project teams and internal teams
•Must be a technical leader that can drive project processes and technical projects to meet time sensitive deadlines
•Manages and communicates detailed project plans, manages communication cadence and drives the team to meet tight deadlines
•Analyzes issues and develops viable solutions; and directs the work of internal and external resources as well as with our customers.
•Establish communication plans and organizational processes for all enclave data needs
•Leads large, strategic, cross-disciplinary business change efforts, often among members of a project team.
•Owns one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural "experts" representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.
•Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
•Strong understanding of Cloud concepts in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments
•Have experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets (Structured and Unstructured data) using Big Data tools
Communication:
•Works with stakeholders to gather and manage the business requirements application migrations from on premise datacenters to cloud environments.
•Works directly with Tech Leads and Directors to ensure project success
•Working knowledge DevOps, Containerization and development of CI/CD pipelines
•Present ideas and recommendations to management
Qualifications
•BA Degree in Statistics, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field with 8-10 years related experience
•Typically 8-10 years of related work experience
•Typically 5+ years of data analysis experience, with a combination of business and technical skills
•Working knowledge of the business use cases and emerging technologies used in the exploitation of “Big Data” including Hadoop related tools.
•Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
•Strong leadership aptitude and ability to engage others in developing risk management capabilities
•Working knowledge of database, data warehouse, data modeling
•At least 8 years of data strategy/ data warehouse experience and 2+ years of management experience.
•Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
•Current experience with Big Data platforms, tools implementation, ETL process (Structured and unstructured data) function with working knowledge of modeling, analytic, dash boarding, and reporting tools. (Responsibilities should be within the last 6-12 months)
•Project Management and People Management experience

•Experience working with JSON, XML and unstructured data
•Experience with columnar databases
