About the Role:
You will lead the administration of the US Benefit Program by:
• Identifying potential changes to plans, as appropriate, based on industry trends, current literature and external advice.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting and plan compliance.
• Responsible for automated and effective setup of benefit plans in corporate HR systems (MyHR), by working with teams within HR and IT to ensure streamlined administration for benefit programs. Build and maintain positive, productive relationships with vendors.
• Lead various facets of annual Open Enrollment of Health and Welfare plans. This includes the management and preparation of employee communications, fielding employee questions, ensuring proper processing and implementation of employee elections.
• Lead Pension and 401(k) processing and administration; act as liaison for the HR US Administration team. Ensure administrative compliance of the Retirement plans.
• Lead participant escalation resolution either via the service desk or HR colleagues
• Lead the day-to-day vendor relationship of external Health & Welfare plan administrators to ensure high quality service and streamlined processing, including vendor payments.
• Lead special projects and initiatives within the benefits department as assigned. Coordinate employee health and wellness programs and events
About the Team:
The Reward team (which is just under 40 people in 5 locations) seeks to provide premier Reward solutions for Swiss Re (in key matters of Compensation, Benefits and International Mobility) that are compliant and sensitive to business, risk and financial requirements as well as aligned to the Group Reward Strategy. It is a Centre of Excellence with a real passion for quality, supporting the delivery of an integrated service for HR and the Business on all matters of Reward.
About You:
• Bachelor's degree with minimum of 3-5 years work experience in a business environment
• Hands-on experience working with group benefit plans
• Comfortable with working in a cross-cultural, cross-functional and virtual team across different geographic locations (matrix environment)
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to offer alternative and creative solutions.
• A self-starter who takes ownership and pride in high quality work
• Ability to work in an unstructured environment, under time pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Good stakeholder management
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written English
