About Man Group
Purpose of Role
To manage Man Group's property portfolio, administrative staff, and corporate services ensuring efficient and cost effective service delivery and a compliant, healthy and safe working environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
Real Estate:
• Responsible for managing properties and leases, including acquisitions, disposals, rent reviews, licenses, management of tenants etc. Space management including moves and changes, fit-outs, renovations, and project management as required
Budgets:
• Responsible for setting and monitoring budgets for the US CRES departments.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS):
• Member of the EHS Committee with responsibility to manage Man Group's EHS management system and ensure all reporting is effectively captured for US offices. Deliver Man Group's energy management policy and actively seek initiatives to improve Man Group's environmental footprint.
Corporate Services:
• Responsible for all corporate services contracts and budgets including US travel accounts, global hotel program, car service accounts, reception, post and print services, catering, offsite storage and file archiving, etc. Interact with other departments as necessary to run systems including room booking, etc.
Building Services:
• Oversight of the US building service charges to ensure that all hard and soft services are well managed and delivered cost effectively. Responsible for delivering accurate, transparent and clear reporting to all stakeholders.
Contract Management:
• Enter into and ensure all contracts are managed to ensure they meet SLAs and KPIs. Provide consultancy and support to CRES team as required. Ensure continuous benchmarking to ensure that pricing is competitive.
Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery/Operational Risk:
• Member of the Silver team and responsible for supporting the work of the Ops Risk/BCP and DR teams in providing support as required.
People Management:
• Support and mentor office administration team. Enable contract managers and teams on site to perform to their best. Build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business in US and global offices as well as with peers in the industry and other external relationships. Be able and willing to step in to assist team members with travel booking, expense reports, and reception, if needed.
Qualifications:
• Experience and knowledge of legal and commercial matters associated with leases, contractual matters and usual commercial frameworks.
• Demonstrable experience of contract management in corporate, hard and soft services.
• Experience in contract processes, benchmarking, keeping contract managers accountable. Ability to determine realistic and achievable KPls and SLAs.
• Demonstrable experience of setting and managing budgets and exercising budgetary control
• Experience and expertise in EHS matters particularly strategic direction and review of global strategies.
• People manager and able to lead a team of experts in a wide range of technical competencies. Keeping team accountable for their specific areas of responsibilities.
• Representing your department at all levels of the business from the cleaners to Board members and being responsive, knowledgeable and strategic at all times.
• Excellent communicator and able to build effective relationships and influence at all levels within the organization as well as with landlords, tenants, professional advisers and contractors.
