Citizens Financial Group, the 13th largest bank in the United States serving over five million individuals, companies, not for profits, and institutions, is searching for an Investor Relations Analyst, reporting directly to the Head of Investor Relations and working with other members of the team. The analyst will serve an important role in helping collaborate and support the execution of the overall investor relations program designed to articulate the company’s strategy, financial results, growth opportunities, and business initiatives to current and potential shareholders and analysts.
This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to work with and gain exposure to a wide range of employees across the company including financial planning and analysis, corporate strategy, corporate reporting, consumer and commercial lines of business, media and communications and to help execute on multi-faceted projects with a strong analytical and collaborative mindset.
Profile Description:
• Assist in conceptualizing and producing investor presentations used by the senior management team to communicate the company’s strategy, financial results, growth opportunities, and business initiatives at earnings, Wall Street brokerage conferences and board presentations.
• Help create external disclosure documents including quarterly earnings Q&A and supporting analysis of trends at the firm as well as across peer banks.
• Perform research and analysis of industry, peers and competitors’ financial results, as well as other ad-hoc analysis as needed to provide value-added insights
• Perform research and analysis of relative stock price performance, investor and analyst perceptions and opinions and stock ownership
• Assist in shareholder questions/issue resolution
• Handle special projects as requested by the Head of IR, CFO, or other senior managers

• Superior intellect and an outstanding ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization with oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (high level Excel and PowerPoint skills required, including experience with developing charts, pivot tables, and complex formulas)
• Flexibility as to hours during busy periods in order to ensure project deadlines are met
• Knowledge of banking products and functions is preferred.
• Prior experience in corporate investor relations, treasury, corporate development, competitive intelligence, strategy, or similar positions for a publicly-traded company and/or investment banking or investment research background also preferred.
This is not a private equity, hedge fund, or capital raising IR position.
Educational, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:
• Bachelor’s degree required (Finance or Accounting)
• MBA or advanced degree such as CFA or CPA highly preferred
