We are looking for an Audit Specialist to join our Greenville, SC office.
The Audit Specialist supports the Audit & Assurance (A&A) Practice.
Candidates must be exceptional problem solvers, focused on effectiveness, flexible, self-directed, and must possess strong organizational and communication skills. Candidates must display a sense of urgency and the ability to work with limited supervision. Managing change and frequent interruptions are vital to this position, and we’re seeking a candidate who has a desire to continually learn. The Audit Specialist will support a large group of team members and must be able to prioritize duties/requests and communicate accordingly.
The Audit Specialist must possess outstanding computer skills (including Microsoft Word and Excel) and be enthusiastic about learning new programs, skills and processes. Qualified candidates will have an eye for accuracy and careful attention to detail. In addition, the Audit Specialist must be able to handle and maintain confidential reports and information with discretion.
Duties will include various responsibilities, with the ultimate focus of working closely with the A&A Practice on assisting with general work incurred throughout various stages of employee benefit plan audits and other assurance engagements. These responsibilities include performing basic audit procedures within the audits of employee benefit plans, preparing and/or proofing documents, creating and/or rolling forward engagement files, coordinating and documenting meetings, utilizing various engagement management tools (workflow, document management, etc.), , and other functions related to assurance engagements. This is a unique opportunity to have input in the daily roles & responsibilities of this position.
Applicants should have a keen interest in accounting, but prior experience is not required. Comprehensive training will be provided to set you on the path to success.
Competitive applicants will have an Associate’s Degree (or be currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program) in one of the following areas: Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Administrative Office Technology, or Business Technology.
