The primary function of the Sr. Pension Administrator in the Plan Document Team is to perform all duties related to the production of plan documents, amendments, summary plan descriptions, and other related legislative updates for VALIC's clients as well as provide consulting regarding document related issues.

• Assess requested provisions to ensure ERISA regulation requirements are met Communicate plan provisions, legal consequences etc. with both internal and external clients, when necessary and when requested
• Aid in enforcing new guidelines regarding customization in line with the services available under the group segmentation parameters and assist team members in developing alternatives to custom provisions
• Perform Quality Review (QR) of document tasks for team members, including tracking performance and identifying potential training gaps
• Assist in training team members as needed Provide consultative services to the field and/or document clients in the completion of legislative amendments including the impact of options chosen in relation to the current operation of their plan
• Act as a mentor to Pension Administrators, assisting with conference calls/meetings as well as reviewing and assessing complex document issues
What we are looking for
• Bachelors Degree or 3-5 years related experience
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal
• Strong knowledge of retirement/pension plans required
• Ability to multitask
• Experience with Relius and/or ASC preferred
• ASPPA credential preferred
