About the Position:

The Sr. Project Manager will oversee and manage internal, revenue generating projects across all functions within the organization including IT, Operations, Sales, Finance and Legal. Reporting to the Program Director, this role will drive and be accountable for the successful completion of projects within the Business Program Portfolio while managing a cross-functional team that includes FTEs, Consultants and Contractors. This role will also be responsible for contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes and current PMO methodology, as well being a key member that drives the cultural, technology, and delivery transformation of the IT organization.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate activities pertaining to large, complex projects that touch all corners of the organization
• Work closely with various teams across the organization including IT, Operations, Security, and Regional Business teams while building relationships and rapport with key project stakeholders
• Strive to continually improve IT processes and methodologies
• Proactively manage program level risks and issues
• Organize and deliver change management activities for business leads and end users
• Manage project plans, budgets, team resources, and key stakeholder communications
• Ensure PMO methodology is utilized
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience planning, managing, and scheduling program activities
• Excellent writing & communication Skills
• Ability to build and maintain effective Stakeholder partnerships that fosters collaboration, open communication, and trust
• Customer centric mindset that anticipates business needs and responds positively to feedback
• High level of business acumen with an outcome oriented mindset
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate project teams to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects that will vary in scope and size
• Knowledge of system integrations and architecture
• Strong knowledge of MS Project, MS Office Suite and Sharepoint
• Bachelor’s degree is required
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience leading change management initiatives
• Experience at identifying opportunities to standardize and/or streamline processes
• Insurance background a plus
• PMP certified is preferred but not required
