General Summary
General Summary
Ensures that infrastructure security architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with operational standards and overall IS security. Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations and suggests procedures to halt future incidents. Investigates and resolves infrastructure security incidents and recommends enhancements to improve security. Develops techniques and procedures for conducting infrastructure security risk assessments and compliance audits, the evaluation and testing of hardware, firmware and software for possible impact on infrastructure security, and the investigation and resolution of security incidents.
Duties and Responsibilities
The primary job duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
• Provide security services to the business, reviews new technologies, oversees penetration and vulnerability testing, incident response, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and assess and communicates infrastructure security risk.
• Perform risk analysis on vulnerability findings and communicate risk assessment results (including remediation recommendations) to management for making risk management decisions.
• Evaluate and maintain Envoy's IT Risk Management program and provide recommendations regarding standardization and policies for the latest security technologies and trends.
• Develop, review and update Information Security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines based on best practices, industry standards, and guidelines.
• Act as liaison between Information Technology and both internal/external auditing to track controls and coordinate audit requests and responses.
• Work with the business leaders and management to analyze current and emerging security risks and recommend security solutions and changes.
• Routinely check various log sources and network monitoring tools for indicators of a security incident, events, and alerts. Including logs from 3rd party vendors.
• Manage Envoy's 3rd party security vendor to ensure everything is compliant
• Monitor industry sources for emerging security risks, defenses, and best practices.
• Provide after hours and/or on-call support for network, security, and associated platforms as necessary for critical events.
Requirements
Qualifications
Listed below are the minimum qualifications required to successfully perform this role. These qualifications are necessary for someone to be considered for this position.
Qualifications include:
• 3 -- 5 years in an IT related discipline
• 3 years working in Information Security Operations
• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools
• Experience with Vulnerability scanners such as Rapid 7, Nessus, MVM, Qualys, etc...
• Proven skills in strategic thinking and planning.
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
• Basic knowledge of IT technologies, ideally related to Security.
• Basic knowledge of Windows server
• Interest in Security, Network and Server Monitoring technologies.
• Proficient in writing and communication skills
• Possess strong interpersonal and project management skills.
• Must have the ability to work effectively and prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment.
• Knowledge of Security principles, techniques and technologies.
• Understanding the technical aspects of the Information Security.
