The individual is responsible to adhere to First American and department’s compliance and information security policies, practices, and procedures, including the handling of systems and data, in the performance of the role.
Essential Functions
• Assist Operational Leaders and their teams, VP of Operational Analytics, Control & Governance Director, Compliance Director, and Quality Assurance Director, to ensure that First American Mortgage Solutions processes deliver products and services to specifications and requirements
• Play a key role in analyzing problems, developing / implementing solutions, to drive continuous improvement of products, services, business results, and associate satisfaction
• Perform operational, compliance, Quality Management System, and information security reviews in accordance with the Quality Assurance program
• Develop test plans and scripts for area to be reviewed
• Assist in managing offshore test partners
• Complete operational risk analysis and control assessments
• Assists with special projects including process improvement initiatives
• Manage issues resulting from external and internal audits, escalations, and operational risk deficiencies
• Develop and / or facilitate creation of corrective action plans for identified issues
Knowledge, Skills & Technology
• Skilled in operational auditing, business process improvement, project management, information security best practices, or re- engineering experience or knowledge
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including report writing skills; ability to articulate briefly and concisely
• Strong analytical, audit, and investigative skills
• Presentation skills in front of a live audience
Education
• BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Licenses or Certificates
• CPA, CA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, and/or CFE is a plus
Experience
• 2+ years of experience in auditing, accounting, insurance underwriting, title or real estate escrow, banking or other related areas.
