Project Lead, Vice President
Job Summary
This position will be responsible for primarily responsible for leading web/mobile application development in support of various Unsecured Lending teams. Primary focus will be in web technologies including application, services, and integration. Additional development includes console, service, and engine development to support varying functionality.
This is a lead application developer and will be required to execute projects of significance. A substantial amount of business unit interaction will also be required when leading these projects.
Major Responsibilities
• Design, develop and implement web and console applications using JSP and J2EE
• Maintain and enhance existing application platforms with the latest technology standards
• Formulates system scope and objectives, and modifies procedures to solve problems. Prepares detailed specs from which programs will be written.
• Debug, troubleshoot and test new and existing applications
• Evaluates software and system problems and potential solutions to application systems requirements.
• Recommends system improvements, new applications and develops plans to improve service.
• Build and enhance the department service layer to integrate with other units in the bank.
• Broad authority and in-depth knowledge of systems and program processes within the department.
• High level technical contributor; recognized as a resource both within and outside the department.
• Acts as a consultant to others in one or more areas of expertise.
• Competent to work at the highest level of all phases in computer systems technology, create and maintain project plans and follow defined methodologies.
• Conceives, plans and implements original approaches to solve complex problems of diverse scope, is able to prepare and present technical concepts to internal audiences.
• Recommends appropriate new technologies for projects.
• Interacts with vendors to resolve system problems.
• Frequent interaction with users of project teams to establish system specifications and resolve problems.
• Principal contact for complex systems.
• Represents the department and / or division on systems efforts having a bank wide impact.
• Trains users and other high level systems professionals in implementation of the most complex systems.
• Regularly provides technical interpretation and guidance on most complex computing problems.
Qualifications
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• 5 years hands on experience developing Java application
• 3 years’ experience with JEE
• Proven experience with web presentation tier technologies as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Jquery, XML
• Proven experience with one or more web application frameworks such as Spring MVC, Spring Boot, JSF, Struts, etc.
• Experience developing SOAP and REST JSON web services and clients
• Knowledge of web application security issues
• Proficiency with database design, SQL, and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate and JPA
• Strong analysis and written communication skills for authoring and reviewing technical specifications
• Strong verbal and written Communication skills for cross functional teamwork
• Experience in complete software development lifecycle
• Experience with SOAP/REST API development
