Nasdaq Private Market (NPM) is looking for an engaging Account Manager to join our growing private funds team. This role will be responsible for onboarding and managing relationships with alternative asset manager clients and the funds they manage, focused primarily within private equity ecosystem, as they work with NPM to design and operate secondaries for their investors.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant private equity operations experience, focused on fund management, fund administration or similar experience in managing relationships with alternative asset managers, warehouses, or institutional investors. This position is located at the NPM headquarters in New York.

• Responsible for managing and developing operational relationships for NPM’s clients; taking primary responsibility for driving client satisfaction with service delivery
• Work with clients to design and implement liquidity solutions in accordance with regulatory requirements and desired client outcomes
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product, Legal, Sales, Account Management, etc) to ensure that all teams are aligned with the status of the client engagement
• Coordinate meetings with clients, as needed, to initiate working sessions, resolve project issues, etc.
• Ensure that clients understand the product and the process as well as their responsibilities
• Develop and manage internal and client engagement expectations while ensuring all applicable functional areas within NPM are engaged.
• Ensure smooth delivery during liquidity events by maintaining an open line of communication with clients, service providers and other stakeholders
• Coordinate with project managers and organizational entities to identify and monitor issues, risks, impacts and dependencies.
• Display strong understanding of the organization's business strategies and apply knowledge to all project activities.
• Coordinate production support activities and participate in troubleshooting implementation issues
• Remain up-to-date on recent product enhancements to ensure coherent messaging to clients
• Cultivate client insights to help improve the product offering; proactively communicate reoccurring customer service issues to the Account Management Team
• Demonstrate effective time management skills in order to handle tight deadlines and multiple client demands
• Track and resolve inquiries in a timely manner, including follow-up to ensure final resolution is as expected
Education, Experience Professional accomplishments, and Certifications
• Required Education: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
• Required Experience: minimum of 3 - 5 years of similar business experience, including client service in the financial industry, with a strong preference for prior experience with private markets and alternative assets classes
• Preferred Experience: Background in private equity (fund management, fund administration, etc), with experience in secondaries transactions a plus

• Possess sense of urgency and the ability to successfully get answers from client when needed to ensure successful completion of a task or project
• Ability to adapt quickly and handle stress in fast-paced situations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional computer skills including but not limited to; Windows, Mac, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and the aptitude for learning new systems.
