The Custom Communications Project Manager is responsible for working closely with custom consultants, creating timelines aligned with approved communication strategies and tracking projects through final execution to ensure goal completion dates are met. The Communications Project Manager uses independent, discretionary judgment more than 90% of his/her day. This position can be virtual, based anywhere in the U.S.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
• Join client calls to gain understanding of project scope and timing expectations as well as establish and build client relationships.
• Develop high level and detailed timelines for client projects and ensure they appear on the master timeline in C&D’s established project management software, Workfront.
• Manage multiple projects/campaigns simultaneously, with varying levels of complexity.
• Create and execute project schedules and make appropriate revisions on the master timeline to effectively respond to the changing daily circumstances.
• Record individual team members’ progress for each project; monitor daily progress of the work against established timelines.
• Track every project and know its status on a daily basis.
• Consistently exercise effective communication and follow through and along with the consultant, be a dedicated point of contact for the client from project implementation to final execution.
• Ensure accurate and effective communication to involved parties (client facing or internal client leads/managers), providing project updates, timeline concerns and other information as requested.
• Track project financials and submit timely and accurate invoices for completed projects.
• Manage third party vendors such as print vendors. This responsibility involves scheduling, coordinating and evaluating vendor performance in completing tasks in a timely manner and with utmost quality to ensure client satisfaction.
• Dedicate extra hours that are required to complete tasks when projects are prevalent and the demands are high.
• Continually demonstrate a working knowledge of employee communication trends, new products, industry trends & changes, developing technology & innovative concepts in area of expertise.
• Support HUB’s philosophy, decisions and methodology in developing and maintaining a “leading edge” and positive work environment.
• Source for special projects and materials as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 3-5 years’ project management experience preferred, specifically in employee communications
• Experience working with computers; Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office and professional project management software (Workfront preferred)
• Print Management experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
