A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud. Our Accounting team helps internal leaders with fixed assets accounting and asset management, financial reporting, accounting research and analysis, statutory and regulatory reporting, and data security. As part of the team, you’ll assist with monthly closings, financial analysis, oversight and management of controls and compliance, tax and cash projections and data security.
Responsibilities
As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
• Be involved in the financial management of clients
• Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
• Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
• Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
• Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
• Train, coach, and supervise staff
• Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
• Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Demonstrates extensive knowledge of and/or proven record of success in roles utilizing and leveraging GAAP accounting methodologies, preferable for a global network of professional services firms, including in the following areas: - Conversion of GAAP accounting methodologies to disseminate the cash / taxable income impacts of transactions; - Cash-basis modeling of income; and, - Leading day-to-day operations of an accounting group focused on cash perspectives.
Demonstrates extensive level of abilities and/or proven record of success with the preparation and analysis of tax and cash trial balances by subsidiary for a global consulting partnership’s taxes, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including in the following areas: - Developing, managing and reviewing analyses of financial results; - Implementing policies and controls around the review of cash and tax ledgers; - Conducting quarterly analyses and reviews of the cash balance sheets and teams with the Partnership Tax team to identify book tax differences; - Leading, collaborating, and consulting with senior leaders and the Partnership Tax team on multi-year prospective projections of the firm's taxable net income, as well as the development and implementation of strategies to meet agreed-upon objectives; - Leading and actively participating in special projects, coordinating staff participation and aligning skill sets with overall project objectives; and, - Coaching, training and leading members of the Finance organization in a wide variety of areas that include, but are not limited to, teaming, interpersonal skills, relationship building, leadership skills, strategy, and business acumen.
