Job Description Summary
Assists senior leadership in Financial Analysis in the development and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. Analyzes, evaluates, and develops staffing models and forecasting models and identifies to management potential areas of opportunities and risks. Reviews trending for unusual variances and provides recommendations or explanations on deviations in compensation plans expectations. This role will also develop and consolidate key metrics on the originations division and use peer data to benchmark performance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Build out and maintain headcount capacity plan models for staffing based on divisional volume forecast.
• Manage Headcount reporting for the originations division
• Manage the coordination and reporting (monthly, quarterly and annual) between Mr. Cooper and outside thrid party mortage originations parties for peer based comparative analysis
• Providing data validation for business, corporate and investor relations requests
• Managing the process, modeling and reporting for compensation plan development, changes and performance tracking for various business units
• Other duties as assigned
Core Requirements:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance required. Master’s degree in Finance preferred.
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills
• Understanding of how to read and understand compensation plan mechanics and key drivers
• Ability to work independently and solve complex problems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and reporting
• Knowledge and experience with SQL
• Experience with Workday, Essbase, Hyperion, Outlook, TM1 reporting tools preferred
• 1-3 years finance and industry experience preferred
