JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid college degree preferred, commensurate experience may offset
• Minimum of eight (8) years experience in Construction Funding and/or SBA Lending
• Prior construction loan administration experience and familiarity with SBA loans and SOP
• Participation in NAGGL and RMA training courses, with memberships in both
• Extensive experience with banking software and/or loan administration software, preferably nCino
• Ability to perform independently in high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven math analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to assume multiple tasks and assist others in Specialty Banking as requested
• Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Provide construction and multi fund qualification, due diligence and loan administration to a complex and rapidly growing SBA construction loan portfolio
• Work with multiple lines of business within the department; support, review, oversee and analyze Bank and SOP required documentation for assigned portfolio, including approval of draw requests for smaller loans administered by third parties
• Provide nCino support and direction for SBA Construction. Maintain reports to Team and Management as requested.
• Must have working knowledge of commercial construction to include full comprehension of legal documents, knowledge of industry standard documentation and ability to provide excellent customer service to borrowers, contractors, venders and colleagues
• Administer an SBA loan portfolio in accordance with bank credit policy, loan agreement, SBA authorization, SOP requirements and industry standards
• Work independently in assigned portfolio to see loans to close and beyond. Communicate with Team Lead and others within the Group and Specialty Banking/SBA on a daily basis and maintain system of record and interdepartmental reports
• Coordinate and communicate with borrowers, contractors, third party venders, and colleagues to ensure that projects are on time and within budget
• Maintain frequent and independent customer contact and proactively coordinate and recommend resolution of issues directly related to the loan to Team to resolve quickly and professionally
• Interact with other real estate professionals. Work with the team in keeping administrative reports, forecasts, and budgets up to date and available for department managers
