Reports To: Market President
Working Conditions: Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions
Work Hours: May vary between locations
Primary Purpose:(Summary of major reason this job exists)
Oversees the operation of a branch office. Exercises control over the functions of the office. Administers the operation of the branch with primary emphasis on deposits and customer service activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned.
• Provides personnel management for branch staff.
• Manages overall branch office operations.
• Maintains and stays abreast of security policies and procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining office building, grounds, equipment, and fixtures.
• Maintains knowledge of branch policies and procedures with respect to approving checks and overrides.
• Handles customer problems and complaints; counsels customers with special needs or requests.
• Establishes and helps to attain internal performance objectives for branch office business volume, deposits, and quality of audit reports.
• Provides and maintains a professional, business-like atmosphere within the branch office.
• Reviews staff members for formal performance evaluations and recommends salary adjustments. Counsels employees when needed. Coordinates staff training when needed.
• Tests branch security equipment and investigates security issues when needed.
• Solicits business from potential and existing customer (outside and inside bank location).
• Assist in the preparation of loan documents.
• Assemble loan packages to be sent to Central Loan Operations.
• Prepare and submit loan reports.
• Represents the financial institution in public relations activities and community affairs.
Job Specifications: Knowledge, skills, and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Two to five years of experience in a financial institution with emphasis on bank operations and loan processing.
• Knowledgeable of the Bank’s retail policies and procedures.
• Knowledgeable of laws and regulations applicable to bank operations practices.
• Sales oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Good written, verbal and supervisory skills.
