Department: Taxable Fixed Income Trading
Edward Jones, a retail brokerage firm with more than 14,000 financial advisors, is seeking an associate to work as a Trader in the Taxable Fixed Income Trading Department. This position is responsible for managing order flow and inventory positions and working with financial advisors on specific requests. If you have strong analytical skills, a passion for the markets and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment, this might be an ideal opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
•Execute client buy and sell orders while adhering to best execution standards, internal policies, and regulatory obligations
•Provide price quotes and service to branch teams on trading related inquiries
•General awareness and ability to use and follow the trading systems, processes and regulatory controls
•Manage limited capital positions and sales pace
Position Requirements
B.A./B.S. degree required •Strong math skills
•Strong communication skills
•Ability to multitask
•Series 7 & 66 required within 6 months
•Client Service and/or financial industry experience preferred
