Overview
Sentry Insurance is seeking a well-organized, customer service focused person with prior experience or interests in aviation/corporate travel to fulfill our Corporate Flight Attendant and Travel Coordinator position. In this role, you will coordinate travel arrangements (commercial or corporate airline, lodging and auto) for Sentry Business travels. You will ensure department compliance with all industry regulations and ticketing requirements, act as a flight attendant on assigned trips and be responsible for the comfort and safety of passengers.
What You'll Do
Sentry entrusts in you to provide first class customer service to our corporate travelers. To ensure this, your duties include:
• Receive travel requests and, via company travel services reservations system connected to a national travel database, research and determine the best and most economical means of travel for Sentry associates on commercial, corporate aircraft or other transportation.
• Book appropriate reservations (airline, hotel, and ground transportation) for associates or incentive groups and ensure all necessary information and forms are provided to traveler prior to travel.
• Provide first class customer service in all related job duties with internal and external customers during travel.
• As flight attendant, you'll provide exceptional service and instructions to the passengers in emergency procedures and evacuation if necessary (may provide First Aid, CPR and AED services as necessary for passengers/crew members).
• Maintain adherence to the aircraft security, standard operating procedures and confidentiality policies as outlined in the Flight Operations Manual.
• Perform pre/post flight administration duties such as schedule trips in accordance with company policy and FAA Regulations and accurately enter the flight data and trip logistics into the flight scheduling software system (passenger and crew accommodations, transportation and catering).
What it Takes
• Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
• 2-5 years of related work experience
• Experience in the travel industry, including experience with airline computer systems
• Thorough knowledge of available air carriers and the airline industry
• Ability to read and use various airline and travel reference materials
• Ability to work within specific time limitations and with extreme accuracy
• Strong organizational, communication, and human relations skills
• May be contacted 24 hours a day, including weekends, by employees regarding changes in travel arrangements
• Advanced culinary skills
• Previous experience as a flight attendant preferred
• Able to secure a U.S. passport and a minimum of 21 years of age
• Able to obtain AED and In-flight Injury and Illness Certifications, and be able to handle in-flight emergencies
• Strong computer skills. Experience working with Microsoft Office, corporate flight scheduling software (i.e. PFM, BART, CTA-FOS), and PeopleSoft applications including eProcurement invoice processing preferred
