Summary of This Role
At TSYS we are building state of the art data and analytics products leveraging unique data sets in the credit card payments industry. This role will be critical to leverage these data assets, creating significant amounts of value for TSYS’ clients. It will lead the creation of actionable insights from various data assets and tools for internal TSYS partners and clients to create business value. It will ensure that data and analytics solutions proactively solve business problems. Analyses client and business needs and participates in the planning, design, and implementation of end-to-end data and analytics capabilities. Owns the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, analysis, dashboards etc. to drive key business decisions. Prototypes different ideas for deploying data analytics to generate to generate insights and high-quality results. Builds relationships with clients, internal and external, as well as data and analytics partners, in order to have an up to date and ongoing understanding of business problems that can be answered with insights.
What Part Will You Play?
• Consults with internal functions as well as with clients on complex business situations with the goal of building integrated analytics and insights solutions; maintains an advanced knowledge of their needs to remain competitive. Serves as an ambassador for Business Insights.
• Develops powerful business insights from a wide range of data sources and complex problem solving.
• Manages ongoing relationships with key internal stakeholders/executives building a deep knowledge of business strategy and priorities.
• Applies descriptive analytics techniques to derive actionable insights out of data through a variety of tools.
• Leads the development of data analytics mechanism to enable self-service analytics across the enterprise. Identifies and partners with key individuals, business users across the company to make them part of the insights network that can, in a self-service manner, derive insights out of the information assets available.
• Communicates insights to a diverse audience of technical and non-technical stakeholders; Masters storytelling around the derived insights.
• Manages communication on timelines, analyses, enablement and expectations with internal stakeholders
• Partners with Data Science managers to apply advanced data science techniques to solutions.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• Relevant Experience or Degree in: Quantitative Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or similar discipline
• Typically a minimum of 10 years
• Demonstrated experience with data management tools in support of descriptive analysis. This includes tools to manipulate data with SQL (SQL client applications, data preparation tools), as well as data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Cognos, etc. Experience in telling clear, insightful, and well articulated stories through data using Power Point or similar communication mechanisms.
• Proficiency with sophisticated analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R, Python, SQL, HiveQL, Spark, Hadoop). Proficiency with visualization platforms such as Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI, or JavaScript. Familiarity with “Big Data” frameworks. Experience with Agile delivery methodology is a plus. Direct experience in implementing business intelligence, data, and advanced analytics solutions preferred. A minimum of 5-6 years experience in a managerial position.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's Degree
• Quantitative Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or similar discipline
• Prior TSYS, payment or technology industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with Product Analytics is a plus. Experience with data science tools and languages such as R and Python is a plus. Understanding of data science statistical analysis techniques is a plus.
