Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
The Enterprise PMO Director holds both a leadership and management role in the Enterprise PMO. As an arm of the overall governance function, the Enterprise PMO Director is responsible for supporting and enabling the bank's project portfolios, programs and structured work efforts. The Enterprise PMO Director ensures that the work of the Enterprise PMO adds value, is relevant to the strategy of the organization, and meets the goals set for the Enterprise PMO by executive management. The Enterprise PMO Director is also responsible for improving the overall PPM (project portfolio management) maturity across the organization, and tracking and reporting the conformance to plans and expectations of strategic initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitates among the Enterprise PMO stakeholders and organizational leadership a consensus around the mission and vision of the Enterprise PMO organization
• Leads the identification and development of Enterprise PMO roles, team configuration and recruitment appropriate to deliver the agreed-upon goals and objectives
• Leads the identification and implementation of project management processes, tools, guidelines and standards in order to establish a stable framework that supports all project teams and stakeholders to improve the probability of successful project delivery
• Leads bank-wide portfolio prioritization and reprioritization reviews for all enterprise projects all in, including business projects with or without an IT component.
• Accountable for organization-wide education of EPMO policies, procedures, and standards and consistent application across the entire portfolio of projects; engages regularly with all levels of leaders on strategy delivery and portfolio governance performance.
• Leads the Bank’s overall project stage gate review process, through conducting readiness assessments to identifying gaps in readiness throughout the project life cycle.
• Facilitates the agreed-upon process that develops plans and prioritization by leadership and governance
• Builds and maintains relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders, and acts as a trusted advisor
• Regularly reviews and evaluates opportunities to improve the project management best practices in order to achieve higher maturity in project portfolio management
• Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
• Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding
• Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Director Level – 6 Direct Reports
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Education Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the Enterprise PMO vision and inspire and motivate Enterprise PMO staff.
• A distinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills. (This is a highly visible position with substantial impact.)
• Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role.
• Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
• Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the Banking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain IT concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the Enterprise PMO staff.
• PMP and Agile certification
• Proficient with SharePoint, MS Project, Visio, MS Office suite of tools
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
• Work involves sitting, occasional walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Requires close visual acuity.
• Normal office environment.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.
