Core responsibilities of a Channel Marketer include:
• Work in close collaboration with Sales and Relationship Management to develop and deploy all channel marketing activity for an assigned group of third party intermediaries to help drive annuity sales and support sales goals
• Become a subject matter expert in an assigned group of third party intermediaries to understand their key business drivers (key relationships, communication channels, sales habits, areas of focus) and use the knowledge to align marketing efforts with the broader goals of the RA business
• Increase engagement of third party intermediary financial advisors by proactively uncovering and acting on unique marketing touchpoints
• Manage full scope of marketing product launch efforts into third party intermediary infrastructure
• Develop sales enablement resources (ie, alignment documents, announcements, resources for RA sales team, etc.) in support of RA broad marketing activity
• Create and deploy marketing campaigns into third party intermediary system, including email campaigns, promotional activity, mailings, firm announcements, conference placement/support, or other activities that align with third party intermediary structure and areas of sales focus
• Analyze marketing campaign results and synthesize into clear management reports, providing recommendations where appropriate
• Create, revise, or tailor presentations for third party intermediary meetings, wholesaler meetings, and RA/sales management
• Identify opportunities to reinforce and support business objectives with the sales team
• Manage regular activity meetings with key accounts and sales teams
Candidate requirements:
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of related work experience focusing on annuities or other wholesaled financial services products
• Experience marketing financial services products within a Third Party Distribution system
• Proven experience writing long and short form content, spanning business and creative styles
• Strong ability to organize, develop, revise, and guide content spanning business and creative applications (sales team updates, powerpoint presentations, marketing emails, announcements, one-pager’s, etc.)
• Strong communication and influence skills
• Experience with marketing campaign development
• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
• Financial service sales or key accounts experience a plus, but not required
• Excellent Power Point skills, an eye for design/formatting, and meticulous attention to detail
