As a key member of Fidelity’s Environmental Sustainability Office you will help drive the enterprise-wide vision for environmental sustainability within the company’s broader Corporate Citizenship program by managing sustainability communications, associate engagement and annual initiatives.
The Team
The Environmental Sustainability Office is comprised of a diverse group of colleagues working together to make a positive impact on the environment while striving for a more sustainable future. The group sits within the Real Estate business unit supporting Fidelity Investments globally. This team manages Fidelity’s environmental priorities and goals, initiatives, reporting, communications and employee/business engagement; while working closely with other peers across the company such as Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion, Social Responsibility, Asset Management, etc., to represent and progress Fidelity’s broader Corporate Citizenship vision.
Your position will be instrumental in integrating and aligning the environmental sustainability vision and messaging across Fidelity’s operations, physical assets, associate engagement and core business. You will manage and drive intent on projects related to sustainability. You will report directly to the Corporate Sustainability Officer but will work closely with all members of the Sustainability Office and many others across the company such as Corporate Communications, HR and Real Estate. You will fuel cross-enterprise alignment and synergistic value by engaging and educating associates and business leaders who may be directly or indirectly involved in projects and activities that affect the environmental impact of the firm.
The Expertise You Have
• Relevant undergraduate and/or graduate degree related to the environment, sustainability, business analytics, communications, relationship management and business strategy.
• Experience with and demonstrated passion for sustainability or environmentalism (working or volunteering).
• 5-8 years of experience in environmental sustainability, business analytics, communications, relationship management, project management and/or business strategy

The Value You Deliver
• Working with Corporate Communications to support all environmental sustainability communications to engage associates and inform customers/public of our good work.
• Managing annual and ongoing environmental sustainability initiatives to further reduce Fidelity’s impact on the environment including: completing due diligence and research; building the business case; establishing the return-on-investment; implementing; measuring and tracking project success.
• Leading the Regional Sustainability Team Program which enables associates to think globally while acting locally. Your leadership of these programs will expand associate engagement, education and empowerment surrounding environmental issues.
• Creating and maintaining an external sustainability partnership strategy: Our collective environment goes well beyond the walls of Fidelity so your help in establishing and managing all external sustainability related partnerships will advance our involvement in and voice on sustainability in our local communities and globally.
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships across Fidelity so that you can leverage these partnerships to progress our collective sustainability work.
• Collaborating with Procurement to continually “green” Fidelity’s value chain to further reduce our environmental impact.
