Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in and add value to Finance Transformation and Corporate Performance Management (CPM) engagements for CohnReznick clients
• Provide insight and leading practice guidance to clients in assessing their current finance processes, designing future state processes and developing the transformation roadmap and CPM solution
• Develop solutions supporting client processes and use cases for budgeting, planning, rolling forecasts, reporting, consolidation and analytics
• Manage project timelines and budget
• Communicate with stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Present business case results and recommendations to executive leadership (written and oral)
• Serve as a client liaison to translate future state process into business requirements and CPM software configuration specifications
• Ability to work with clients to develop business cases used to determine overall profitability for product and/or service line initiatives
• Ability to develop final financial plan, forecast, reporting and analysis with clients
• Define and create master data/metadata, dimensions, hierarchies, models, business rules, calculations, reports and dashboards
• Working with clients to define the need for, and the source of data requirements for, the planning & forecasting and reporting processes
• Understanding of, and ability to interpret, monthly analyses of business trends and budget variance of financial results
• Identify Key Performance Indicators to be used in management reviews and strategic business analysis sessions with clients
• Ability to analyze business performance and recommend action plans based on client needs
• Working with clients to develop capital planning models, reports and templates with clients
• Understanding basic cash flow statement and ad-hoc cash flow analysis/trending to be incorporated into potential business solutions
• Create final performance reports, including business insights, ad-hoc analysis and recommendations for clients
• Develop and analyze economic drivers of the business client (e.g. customer churn, renewals)
• Model/assess performance scenarios to analyze risks and opportunities
• Contribute to growth of this rapidly expanding practice area via targeted business development activities, including working with prospects (meetings/demonstrations to potential clients, develop proof of concepts, scoping potential engagements, etc.)
Requirements:
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain professional relationships across functions and tenure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a variety of stakeholders
• Strong experience in accounting and FP&A, budgeting and forecasting experience, including expense, personnel, revenue, capital, and balance sheet planning
• A minimum of 1.5 years of Adaptive Insights software experience
• Experience with CPM / enterprise planning systems (Hyperion, Cognos, etc.) or financial management applications desired.
• Strong Excel skills, including modeling, pivot tables, v-lookups and complex formulas
• Scripting experience (any language) desirable
• Database (relational, OLAP) and ETL experience desirable
