General Manager of Partner Sales
The General Manager of Partner Sales will be a proven sales leader with a demonstrated track record of success motivating the sales organization to achieve company sales revenue goals in a high-growth environment. The right candidate will optimize team results through hands-on leadership, direct engagement in sales cycles, performance management, recognition, and coaching. This position requires a self-starter who can work with limited direct supervision, is entrepreneurial in spirit, and has strong leadership skills. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of FOTS sales and General Management for the Partner Bank channel.
Responsibilities:
• Significant sales transformation for a company or business; recent experience establishing processes, metrics, and technology to help drive & optimally manage a dispersed sales team
• Experience leading sales for a company that has opened up new channels of distribution and has diversified its product mix
• Strong analytical orientation and accuracy of sales planning and reporting
• Experience implementing a metrics driven sales culture
• Strong computer skills including use of CRM sales database and Microsoft Products
• Experience cultivating and growing long term and profitable relationships
• Willingness to “dig in” and support sales process at all levels
• Long-term relationship builder capable of forming and assembling their own team
• Participates in critical decisions as a member of the senior leadership management team
• Takes full responsibility for ensuring internal and external collaboration and client satisfaction
• Instills trust and fosters open, candid, respectful communication and teamwork
• Demonstrates a high degree of self-awareness and commitment to personal development
• Prioritizes changing demands, multi-tasks, and creatively meets tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
Computer Skills and knowledge required:
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong working knowledge of SalesForce.com
• Embraces new technology
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree a plus
• Ten plus years of experience in sales for a high growth company or business with revenues greater than $50 million
• At least five years of senior level sales experience in a top tier payments or financial services technology company
• Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
• Track record of growing top line revenue with strong financial discipline and bottom-line orientation (EBITDA, disciplined cash flow management, etc.)
Essential Functions:
Sales Strategy
• Analyze and evaluate current sales activities; develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of sales programs
• Develop the annual and long-term field sales strategy for Partner Bank business line to exceed business plan objectives
• Establish a transparent culture that rewards sales growth and customer satisfaction
• Work with the Managing Director, President and the leadership team to set clear expectations for the business plan and deliver on goals for revenue and operating income
• Determine the optimal mix of channel distribution strategies to meet the company’s short and long-term objectives
• Conduct and analyze market research to determine and enhance overall competitive positioning
Channel Strategy
• Work with regional sales leaders to attract, lead, and drive performance through partner bank clients
• Partner with the Director of Marketing to identify and activate new acquisition and strategic product opportunities
• Work with key leaders and field sales representatives to secure, structure and monetize retail distribution leads, marketing acquired and marked informed new clients
• Penetrate key strategic retail, commercial and corporate channels
Sales Process Management
• Direct implementation and execution of sales processes, policies, and practices
• Establish key metrics and KPIs for the sales team and leverage analytics to extract insight into the business and drive decision making
• Ensure communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets budget requirements
• Create a feedback loop for sales to share information from the field back to the corporate office to guide future sales, product, and marketing decisions
