KPMG is currently seeking an Associate, Strategic Foresight and Market Scouting to join our Innovation & Enterprise Solutions organization.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-depth market research on strategic topics such as emerging technologies and business models to better inform the investment decisions made by firm leadership
• Lead research and market landscape analyses of small/medium sized and emerging/startup companies in spaces aligned with current and (potentially) future firm lines of business
• Support research efforts by constructing and maintaining datasets, including merging data from multiple sources, to identify trends in data to better inform strategic and investment decisions made by firm leadership
• Help the development of research initiatives / thought leadership through data visualizations
• Create compelling presentations and trend / investment profiles for leadership reviews
• Codify insights and general output from market scouting activities such as interviews, events/conferences, and research
Qualifications:
• Minimum of two years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate foresight, business development, or similar market scouting and strategy functions
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
• Ability to document data construction and research processes
• Capability to work with team members to discuss research process, ideate, and maintain open communication
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in developing data management skills, business innovation knowledge, and knowledge of emerging technology trends
