Responsibilities
OPS Group Description:
The Global Analytic Performance Measurement Team provides Middle and Back Office Operations functions for the AB client-base. These functions are delivered by a mixture of internal AB Operations professionals and via our strategic outsourcing partners.
The Performance team leverages many AB applications and third-party vendor systems, including B-One and First Rate (vendor system), and Global Analytics, PMS, BOSS, CRS, Daily Performance Engine (AB application).
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The candidate will be a member of Performance Measurement team in Nashville. This team is part of a larger Global Analytics and Performance group. The team is currently responsible for ensuring institutional client account returns are calculated and reported accurately. The account universe covered by the team includes Equity, Global Fixed Income, Multi- assets as well as Alternative Investments. The account universe and team structure may change over time.
The candidate will be working with and overseeing work of our outsourcing partners, AXA-BS. However, the analyst will retain their own schedule of production responsibilities. In addition, we expect that team members will provide project support for various initiatives when required.
Production
• Review and sign-off performance returns for the AB Universe of accounts, daily and monthly, as applicable.
• Review discrepancies, outliers and liaise with other teams to determine validity, then resolve if required.
• Confirm AB returns with third parties, including custodians and consultants where required.
• Produce regular portfolio performance reports / summaries on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis; some are manual, complex and time intensive.
• Direct support of Financial Advisors, Marketing, Portfolio Management, Client Reporting and other internal departments.
• Respond to ad-hoc requests, resolve problems and provide clear answers that requestor can understand.
• Support strategic departmental and global initiatives. Assist with project work when required, including data gathering, analysis and user acceptance testing.
• Ensure all tasks are delivered efficiently. Continuous improvement required for all processes and the updating of all procedures.
Oversight
• Review and resolve issues highlighted by AXA-BS including liaison with other departments.
• Ensure all SLA’s are adhered to using tools to monitor progress and escalating any issues as appropriate.
• Contribute to production calls where appropriate.
• Facilitate and perform training for AXA-BS when required.
• Assist AXA-BS partners in enhancing procedures and authorizing changes for BAU (Business As Usual).
• Ability to adapt to new processes through Cross Training of tasks.
• Produce management information including monthly SLA reports and commentary

The candidate will have an opportunity to learn or leverage existing Performance skills by working closely with Performance professionals with strong tenure and track records. When fully trained, the candidate shall become solely responsible for the delivery of work from this Performance sub team in the Manager’s absence, which carries great responsibility.
Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Economic
• GIPS knowledge is helpful, CIPM is a plus
Skills:
• Solid portfolio accounting knowledge and strong analytical skills required.
• Knowledge of performance computations (TWRR vs IRR, chain linking returns, annualizing returns).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, knowledge of Macros is beneficial, Knowledge of SQL a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Needs excellent attention to detail and a high degree of professionalism.
• Must be highly organized often working to tight deadlines.
• Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities
