POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an employee advocate and a catalyst for change, you will be responsible for:
• Participating on the Campus leadership team as an HR ambassador for the Region
• Leading/facilitating the Employee Engagement Committee to promote and foster employee morale and overall productivity
• Assisting with the resolution of employee relations issues including researching/investigating situations and recommending solutions
• Partnering with the management team to ensure HR Best Practices are understood, implemented and carried out
• Serving as a Corporate HR Representative when introducing and rolling-out new/updated HR programs
• Assisting with the acquisition process including welcome meetings and onboarding
• Responding to employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, etc., and resolving or cording with the appropriate Corporate HR team for resolution
• Facilitating weekly New Hire Orientation conference calls with new hires with other HR Department team members
• Other generalist responsibilities, as needed
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:
• 7+ years of generalist HR experience including employee relations and leadership development with exposure to employee benefits, payroll and compensation
• College Degree in a related field
• Experience in the insurance/financial services industry strongly preferred
• Must possess a solid understanding of California Labor Law
• Demonstrated communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated computer proficiency – Excel and Workday (HRIS) are essential
• Proven oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization
• Travel to the Campus offices and the office (on occasion) required
