Job Summary:
Hologic is aggressively seeking an outstanding Senior Global Strategy Marketing Manager to: 1) Accelerate the Global expansion of our current U.S. market leading brands Thin Prep, Aptima, Panther and Rapid fFN in order to better meet doctor and patient demands for health than competition, 2) Partner with marketing Directors and Managers and other function leaders to accelerate U.S. & Global Innovation Portfolio (products, claims & acquisitions) launch and early adoption.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of organic/base business sales growth, market share gains and new product launches in the U.S. and International markets. Experience across multiple categories and channels (e.g., Diagnostics, Pharma, and/or Consumer Healthcare) is a major positive differentiator.
Primary NPD responsibilities include:
• Partner with regional marketing to forecast new products
• Closely communicate with regional partners throughout NPD process to capture primary market needs and smoothly transition management of products in preparation for launch
• Marketing core member on cross-functional product development teams
• Conduct market research to quantify the size of the addressable market and understand reimbursement in each geographical area
• Understand competitive landscape and integrate business needs into project and desired claims into marketing plan
• Oversee and contribute to launch execution in partnership with downstream regional marketing
• Promote a culture of partnership with cross-functional teams while maintaining a shared level of urgency
Strategy, Innovation, and Market Management
• Develop comprehensive business cases for new market and concept ideas that include strategic fit, market sizing & financial modeling, high level unmet clinical needs definition, competitive landscape, commercial implications, and go, no-go recommendation
• Assist with or lead business development commercial assessments including input into the deal model
• Gain alignment with internal and external customers for key decisions
• Participate in commercial-related integration efforts for near-market acquisitions
• Design and execute (either internally or in partnership with a third party) qualitative and/or quantitative market research with customers and other key stakeholders through hands-on lab evaluations or other pre-clinical settings
• Build relationships with downstream marketing, KOL's, Scientific and Medical Advisory Board members and relevant medical societies
• Act as a change agent in the organization
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
• Experienced leader with proven results in making authoritative business decisions and accounting for results.
• Highly accountable, with experience in managing complex projects with ambitious milestones under pressure, having accomplished milestones on time and on budget.
• Relevant molecular diagnostic experience is a huge plus.
• FDA & CE mark medical device development experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills preferred
Education:
BA/BS in Business Administration or Science required; MBA, PhD, or advanced degree and experience are preferred
Experience:
• Minimum of 7+ years related business experience with proven track record in commercial and/or sales management at the regional level, global marketing, and product development leadership roles within clinical diagnostic, medical device or pharmaceutical companies. Diagnostic marketing experience considered a huge plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
