Zurich is currently seeking an Operations Analyst to join our Claims team, and will be located in the Schaumburg, IL office.
As an Analyst on the Claims Operations team, you will provide technical support, reporting and analysis to Claims professionals, as well as business partners of the Claims organization. You will manage databases and execution/distribution of standard metrics or required Documented Evidence of Review reports. You will assess and manage your delegated tasks with limited supervision to determine appropriate course of action, and establish and meet deliverables.
You will have the opportunity to participate in re-engineering and simplification of claims administrative and/or operational workflows and procedures as appropriate. You will partner with Senior Operations Analysts and/or Operations Consultant as part of project teams. You will also conduct analysis related to the reporting and databases managed by the Operations Analyst team. This role will provide you with opportunities to interact with leadership across organizational levels throughout the Claims organization, as well as across business functions/units.
Key Accountabilities will include:
• Support the Claims Organization by tracking and providing analysis on a wide variety of databases and reports used to monitor key performance indicators and service level agreements.
• Conduct research, analysis and interpretation of technical and operational issues
• Serve as responsible party for information management and procedural development for various areas including but not limited to the following: Claims Platform Support/Terminations, Vendor Invoice Billing & Reconciliation Management, NCCI Reporting & Coding, Duplicate Payment Review, as well as our internal Claims Forms and Letters database
• Provide administrative support and analysis to Claims Operations on special projects which may include: analyzing data, identifying trends and presenting material in logical format
• Serve as a liaison for Claims Operations in dealing with all internal/external customers
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Technical Analysis area
OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Technical Analysis area
OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree with 3 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance area
AND
• Experience with database management
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence/CDW or similar data system(s)
• Ability to identify,prioritize and establish deliverables/expectations)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
