The Associate Product Owner is responsible for participating in the analysis and gathering of all relevant information for input to user story creation. The role includes business analysis, backlog grooming, operational readiness, and substantial collaboration with business and technology partners. This role is heavily reliant on communication across participants and management, Agile methodologies, industry knowledge, and trends. The focus of this role will be on the business’s definition of requirements and acceptance of their completion, ensuring consistency of implementations throughout the lifecycle of the tasks.
The Associate Product Owner chosen for this role will be working closely with one or two scrum teams within our Global Network’s Digital / eWallet ART to develop user stories, write acceptance criteria, accept the completed product features and further deliver to the end customers. Part of the scrum team role will be completing necessary program documents. The chosen candidate will closely work with Product Owner(s) and Senior Product Owner(s) to support the above said functions. This person may be asked to complete analysis on application and business services to help with value deliveries to end customers.
*This position is located in Riverwoods (IL) but New Albany (OH) and Phoenix (AZ) will be considered.
Responsibilities
• Contributes in project-related meetings to help drive decisions.
• Develops partnership relationships with various teams and maintains working rapport with others, leveraging these relationships to meet common project milestone/goal.
• Refines user stories with the sprint team and ensures all user stories are kept up to date as design and requirements change throughout the release.
• Collaborates with Product Manager and other Product Owners to provide subject matter input in feature development.
• Actively monitors user stories to ensure the acceptance criteria was implemented correctly.
Skills:
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, Finance, Engineering, or related field
• Experience in Product Owner, Business Analyst, Customer Service and Relationships, IT, or related field
• In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of experience in Product Owner, Business Analyst, Customer Service and Relationships, IT, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
If we had our say, we’d also look for:
• 2+ years of experience in Product Owner, Business Analyst, Customer Service and Relationships, IT, or related field
• AGILE experience
• Financial services/Payment Services experience
