The Payroll Tax Analyst is responsible for performing specialized Payroll Tax related activities.
The Team
The Payroll Tax Analyst is responsible for filing the businesses tax returns, accuracy of the employee W2 and ensures that we are in compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws. This includes collecting and preparing tax data, reviewing business tax returns, performing tax research, and maintaining records.
The Expertise You Have
• 2-4 years of previous experience in Payroll, Accounting/Finance or HR
• Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, HR or equivalent experience preferred
• Advanced level of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) skills required

• Strong technical tax background; strong tax research utilizing online research tools and compliance skills and familiar with tax preparation software
• Well organized; plans, organizes and monitors performance according to priorities
• Highly self-motivated; takes initiative; proactive; anticipates situations; identifies and addresses issues; accountable; has a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Effective project management skills; Ability to establish, maintain and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills
The Value You Deliver
• Preparing and filing tax returns for monthly, quarterly, annual and amended filings
• Researching transaction tax issues at both the employee and employer level
• Preparing and responding to various types of mandatory surveys and tax audits
• Interpreting and complying with state, local and international statutes, regulations, and legislation;
• Preparing and/or assisting to prepare Tax Registrations for multiple FEIN’s
• Assisting with the preparation of indirect tax filings (sales/use; property tax)
