The Role
As the Sr. Account Executive., you will build and maintain strong business relationships with key sales clients to meet or exceed established sales goals, quotas, targets or objectives for your assigned Group Benefit Sales area(s) of responsibility. You will build, maintain and execute sales plans with Advisors/Registered Representatives/Brokers.
Responsibilities
• Actively participates in financial services &/or insurance industry organization meetings as a subject matter expert
• Actively seeks opportunities for Lincoln sponsor &/or speak at events
• Builds/directs a complex relationship platform, identifying sr./exec contacts in targeted Advisors, Registered Reps &/or Brokers to achieve profitable sales/growth
• Builds/maintains long-term relationships w/ complex Advisors, Registered Reps &/or Brokers, ensuring satisfaction/increased revenues
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders on proposals &/or promo materials for area(s) of responsibility.
• Conducts Advisor, Registered Reps &/or Brokers meetings to achieve sales targets
• Cultivates, directs, & maintains sr./exec. client relationships
• Develops, directs & executes complex plans to increase/gain opportunities to introduce Lincoln sr./exec. management to targeted Advisors, Registered Reps &/or Brokers
• Develops/drives complex sales strategy to increase sales/market share in territory
• Develops/maintains collaborative relationships w/ internal stakeholders to achieve sales goals
• Ensures conflicts regarding Lincolns products/services are resolved
• Increases/gains awareness of Lincoln offerings w/ complex Advisors, Registered Reps &/or Brokers
• Maintains sales call data in appropriate systems &/or completes sales reports
• Meets/exceeds department &/or sales goals/targets for his/her territory
• Profiles territory's complex Advisors, Registered Reps &/or Brokers to target sr./exec relationships to build/identify firms/institutions interested in LFG offerings
• Provides feedback/intelligence to internal partners on existing/targeted firms/institutions
• Serves as a subject matter expert, leveraging an advanced understanding of LFG products, services & operational structure in territory
• Supports growth in all segments of Lincolns products/services to maximize/capitalize on opportunities to penetrate firms/institutions
• Supports Relationship. Management retention & looks for opportunities to cross sell/cross partner with internal stakeholders
Education & Experience
• 5 7+ Years experience years in intermediary sales that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)in (Minimum Required)
Certifications
• Upon Hire Certifications/Licensures : Dependent upon Product Being Sold.
