The Marketing Senior Specialist will assist with business development efforts targeted at state and federal government health care agencies. This position will focus on developing/producing winning proposals. The role requires excellent writing and project management skills and the ability to coordinate input from multiple professionals in pursuit of government contracts.
Essential Functions:
• Write winning proposals in response to government Request For Proposals (RFPs)
• Proofread proposals in accordance with AP Style and internal style guide
• Update boilerplate materials for proposals
• Assist with maintenance of the Proposal Resource Center, a SharePoint site
• Communicate with all levels of associates from executive management to staff
• Participate in proposal-related activities
• Manage multiple assigned tasks/projects with minimal supervision
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field preferred
• 3 years of related work experience preferably in state/federal government proposal writing, grant writing or other business/technical writing role required
• Strong writing, proofreading and communication skills required
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of management and various stakeholders (team members, partners, clients) to achieve results
• Proficient use of applicable technology, such as Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong organization skills with excellent follow through a must
• Ability to manage projects simultaneously within established deadlines
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a larger team
• Self-motivated and assertive
• Possess exceptional attention to detail
