CoBank’s Customer Derivatives division is seeking a dynamic new associate to join a new and exciting team within the bank. The Customer Derivatives Analyst will be a key player on the team and will shoulder significant responsibility for the business’s continued growth and success. The analyst will help drive the team’s daily operational flow while ensuring the efficient origination of interest rate and foreign currency hedges in a regulatory and policy compliant manner. They will play a key role in performing in-depth analysis and establishing partnerships with business lines and credit representatives to facilitate timely and high-quality delivery of service to our customers. The analyst will ensure customer derivative transactions are executed and documented in compliance with established policies and procedures, as well as embracing and actively contributing to a culture of continual improvement.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or relevant discipline
• Two (2) or more years of experience in banking or financial services industry; or an appropriate combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency with financial and mathematical fundamentals.
• Experience executing derivative transactions, negotiating ISDA documents and/or Dodd-Frank compliance preferred.
• Knowledge of credit underwriting preferred.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to work effectively with external customers.
• Strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Availability for occasional work outside normal business hours.
• Availability for occasional travel.
