Our Investment Operations group has approximately 800 associates globally, supporting core components of our investment offerings and growth of the business. Core Operations supports the investment process and distribution efforts by performing accounting, fund administration, and securities operations for the investment portfolios available to Capital Group’s global clients. The department’s strong accounting and finance capabilities, along with the agility to build new capabilities, enable superior investment outcomes and service for our clients. Key responsibilities include daily valuation of securities, trade processing and settlement, corporate actions research and processing, collateral management, and accounting, including net asset value determination and financial reporting.
As a Lead Analyst based in Norfolk, VA you will be thoughtfully placed within one of the functional areas listed above. You will play a key role within Core Operations leadership and serve as a technical subject matter expert. You will be expected to mentor associates across the department while promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Review, approve, and may prepare information/entries and supporting documentation with all levels of complexity
• Provide leadership/direction to the team, consider broader business needs
• Collaborate with managers to develop and maintain an effective team
• Lead or participate in projects and team/department initiatives
• Monitor external service providers
• Provide operational and technical guidance on internal controls to other departments
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5+ years of progressive financial services experience leading people, processes, and/or projects
• Strong technical systems skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional standard of quality involving accuracy, attention to detail, organization, self-review skills, thoughtful analysis, problem solving, and accountability for excellent
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
