The Client Development Specialist will work with the Regional VP and the Regional Relationship Management Team as we deliver a comprehensive custody platform to independent wealth management firms. Our team is dedicated to supporting wealth management firms that are determined to be the future of financial advice.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
• College degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 3 - 5 years direct client and/or financial services experience
• Strong brokerage/custody background, preferably with direct retail or customer service experience
• Series 7 and 63 registrations will be required
The Purpose of Your Role
Fidelity Clearing & Custody Solutions (FCCS) is a leading provider of trading, custody and brokerage services to Registered Investment Advisors, Trust Institutions and Third Party Administrators. You will be supporting a business that offers access to a comprehensive set of products and services, innovative investment tools and research, an integrated brokerage and trust platform, and dedicated client service professionals - all designed to help our clients thrive.
The Client Development Specialist will play a key role on our team by collaborating with our Relationship Managers and Sales Executives to deliver our full suite of service, tools, benefits, and resources. The support of the CDS allows us to be effective, proactive, and resourceful as we serve the independent advisors who work with us in the Southwest Region.

• You are proficient with MS Office programs, with an emphasis on developing presentations and formatting information
The Value You Deliver
Relationship Management Support
• Acting as primary back up when RM is unavailable
• Organizing and attending client visits as appropriate
• Partnering with Fidelity Institutional (FI) marketing to coordinate client event participation
• Collaborating with cross Fidelity partners to bring the best solutions to our clients
• Interacting with clients to identify asset and revenue generating opportunities
• Partnering with the Relationship Manager to create an engagement plan for growing advisors
• Analyzing engagement plans across the region to share resources, reduce cost and deliver more to each client
• Partnering with the Relationship Manager to develop shared accountability in the execution of each engagement plan
Business Development
• Partnering with the Relationship Manager and Practice Management to identify and implement advisor tools or programs that will impact revenue and AUM growth
• Partnering with Sales Associates to identify prospecting opportunities through research and/or campaigns
• Manage overall follow-up and communication on issues, opportunities and leads generated from client meetings
• Monthly sales funnel participation and documentation
• Ensuring an accurate and updated monthly regional sales funnel and client status notes while adhering to CRM protocol
Territory/Project Management
• Coordinating the annual client goal planning process and identify key regional trends for assigned region
• Developing and implementing regional reporting of actual results vs forecast for key metrics
• Project manage key business initiatives for the FCCS channel across FI units – i.e. deployment and implementation of new technology roll-outs
• Creating and updating regional presentations designed to highlight regional activity and key initiatives
