Director, Market Development - Payment Facilitator & Marketplace
Elavon is seeking a Director of Market Development for the Payment Facilitator Channel. The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly-dynamic, energetic, and results-driven individual. Will be in a highly-visible position, working across multiple business lines of USB and Elavon (Risk/Compliance, Credit, Loss Prevention, Underwriting, Card Brand Management, Project Support Office, Certification team, ISO and IPS channel) and with existing customers providing expertise in this rapidly growing space.
It is imperative the ideal candidate be highly charismatic, influential, courageous, and an innate leader that is inspired and driven by results. This candidate will be front and center of a newly created Channel within the organization and will need to be highly adaptable to change.
Additional responsibilities:
• Project facilitation including tracking and development of necessary documentation, managing resources, including long-term pacing and planning.
• Complete business readiness plans for Payment Facilitator space - including process/procedure documentation, gap analysis, etc.
• Thorough experience and advanced knowledge of both Elavon and Payment Facilitator processes and procedures - which is key in understanding how to advocate for the unique needs of our accounts.
• Knowledge of appropriate stakeholders and when necessary to engage - ability to network and work with teams in collaborative fashion is key.
• Engagement with Elavon's and USB's risk and compliance teams - understanding requirements and ensure our program will meet those requirements.
• Prioritize work and projects based on evolving internal and external needs.
• Daily decision making, while weighing various options and possible impacts.
• Knowledge of Payment Facilitator market and what the competition offers.
• Working with internal stakeholders and customers to fully understand the needs of existing Payment Facilitators.
• Daily problem solving, research, and proposing solutions in the Payment Facilitator space, ensuring aligns solutions/recommendations to strategic needs of Elavon and the PF Program.
• Engaging with External Consultants on various projects and moving those items forward - while bringing our internal and external teams together.
• Knowledge and experience of how to appropriately evaluate and escalate dependencies within the Payment Facilitator space and Elavon.
• Ability to drive and adhere to tight timeframes and manage all levels of the organization to meet deadlines.
• Taking high level, basic directives and anticipating, translating all the details that the PF team and Elavon needs to execute on those items.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Strong experience in project management and leadership activities
• Working knowledge of the Payments industry – Payment Facilitator knowledge preferred
