Position Overview
If you have experience with multifamily or commercial loan originations and want to expand your knowledge to the rapidly growing industry of seniors housing, this is an excellent opportunity. Freddie Mac’s Multifamily Seniors Housing Underwriting Group is looking for someone with commercial real estate debt, investment sales, or asset management experience to work within the Chicago office. You will be responsible for efficiently analyzing, mitigating, and clearly defining credit risk. This includes evaluating the overall transaction and making decisions on the credit risk profile. We’re looking for someone who is analytical, proactive, resourceful, a fast learner, and experienced with numbers. The position also requires a sales oriented individual who can assist with loan structuring for quotes. A strong ability to collaborate with customers and internal team members to facilitate the approval and commitment is required. Good fundamentals in reviewing property cash flow and valuation analysis as well as sponsorship financial statements are core competencies desired. Qualifications
• Typically has 3-5 years of work experience in multifamily or commercial real estate lending or asset management
• BA/BS degree in Finance, Business Administration or related discipline and/or equivalent professional experience
• Knowledge of real estate property fundamentals and real estate lending/underwriting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to travel on a regular basis (domestically, at least once a month)
