A DAY IN THE LIFE
In this role, you will…
• Provide direction and leadership to the Operational Risk Management area
• Set short, medium and long term vision for the Operational Risk Management area, including staffing, organizational structure, productivity
• Develop Operational Risk Management program for a mortgage servicing company
• Develop and manage process mapping and re-design efforts
• Develop a process to incorporate departmental efforts within Enterprise Risk Management structure
• Manage staff
WHO YOU ARE
You possess …
• Operational risk management experience in financial sector
• Mortgage experience, especially in the servicing
• Prior experience with mortgage originations, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, REO and Property Preservation.
• Prior experience with Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, REO and Property Preservation.
• Prior experience with loan boarding and transfers
• Prior experience in building and managing fast pace and high efficiency teams.
• The ability to multitask in a fast paced environment, especially the ability to meet tight deadlines for our clients.
• Excellent planning, verbal and written communication skills.

DETAILED JOB DUTIES
• Provide direction and leadership to the Operational Risk Management area in support of the company’s goals
• Set short, medium and long term vision for the Operational Risk Management area, including staffing, organizational structure, productivity
• Develop and manage Operational Risk Management program for a mortgage servicing company
• Develop and manage process mapping and re-design efforts
• Develop and manage library of company operational processes, associated risks and risk controls
• Develop a manage process for documenting process flows, incorporating risks and controls
• Develop and manage operational KRIs
• Develop and manage a process for integration with company’s datawahouse to produce operational metrics
• Manage and/or oversee critical elements of the company’s risk management activities
• Design a risk management process to quantify systemic, mitigated and residual risk at the process level
• Develop a process to incorporate departmental efforts within Enterprise Risk Management structure
• Manage and balance workloads, monitor timeliness of deliveries, manage efficiency of the department and staff
• Work closely with all operational areas to evaluate and propose process improvements, highlight and mitigate key risks
• Facilitate identification of various data sources and their integration within the Business Intelligence infrastructure
• Work with the rest of the company on Business Intelligence needs and improvements
• Manage staff
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 4 year degree in business, engineering or similar required
• Master degree in business, engineering preferred
• Minimum 15+ years of proven management experience within lending operations and risk management
• Minimum 15+ years of proven experience operational risk management, enterprise risk management and process reengineering
• Experience with financial sector, specifically in credit and mortgage in particular
• Experience with mortgage or other credit products’ servicing
• Experience with mortgage originations and call center environments preferred
• Experience with MSP, or other mortgage platforms
• Working experience with GRC software
• Strong quantitative and project management skills
• Strong resource management skills
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with communication with executive management.
• Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, research and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Leadership skills and ability to organize and motivate others.
WORK CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Ability to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Over time required as necessary.
