As an Allstate Catastrophe Inside Adjuster, you will play a vital role to ensure we deliver on our promise. The Adjusting Function is responsible for verifying policy coverage and limits. The Adjusting function investigates and evaluates damage and/or liability; estimates damages, losses, or total indemnity; sets and maintains reserves; and/or negotiates and settles claims. Catastrophe (CAT) claims result from catastrophic weather events, such as hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, and other man-made catastrophic events as well as local office load balancing claims and can include auto, commercial, flood and/or property losses.
Under general supervision, you will play a vital role to ensure we deliver on our promise to help restore people’s lives after they’ve had a loss. Under general supervision, you would be responsible for investigating, negotiating and settling property damage and liability insurance claims. You will be conducting a thorough analysis, reviewing the insurance policy, evaluating damages, determining loss coverage and authorizing payments. In addition to their adjusting duties, as a CAT adjuster, this individual also may infrequently, and under extensive direction from unit members, assist in workflow management when a mega-event occurs. This individual is expected to be gaining experience in delivering compassionate service that is fast, fair, and easy, to ensure customer retention. The individual is capable of working independently, prioritizing the individual's own responsibilities, and managing the individual's own workload. The individual is also gaining experience in meeting band level behaviors, production, quality and/or customer service goals. Important information:
*MUST be available to work a scheduled shift between the hours of 7am-7pm Monday thru Friday with occasional weekends during non- active CAT. Candidates must also be able to work CAT hours when active which is 10 days on with 4 days off from 7am to 7pm.

*Please note, there is a required 2-week training that will take place in Wheeling, IL.
*Adjusters are required to maintain a valid state specific license to perform work duties. You may review state licensure requirements at www.NIPR.com
*Starting Salary: $42,200
Job Qualifications
• High School/GED or Bachelors degree
• At least 2 years experience delivering outstanding customer service, property estimating experience is a plus
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to take initiative and seek training necessary to excel
• Ability to apply classroom concepts in a real-world working environment
• Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision
• Proven record for maintaining the highest level of personal and professional integrity
• Spanish Bilingual (written and verbal) proficient is a plus
• Military candidates (E-5) are encouraged to apply
